Yard Management
The LFS module “Yard Management” services the maintenance, planning and monitoring of the delivery and dispatch traffic of a warehouse. The trucks arriving for loading and unloading are recorded, maintained and assigned to the according gates following the defined priorities. This process includes the maintenance of the gates and parking spaces (that can temporarily be used as buffer locations) and the assignment of the disposition locations in the warehouse. The efficient gate management assigns the gates depending on the orders and reduces the number of internal transports. The history maintenance allows a research in all processes and can serve as a basis for future planning.
